CPE 665 / 615 / KNE508 - Project Evaluation
Project Evaluation Contains an introduction to the project evaluation process including a comparison between benefit–cost analysis (BCA) and financial analysis. It then turns to project specification and issues such as project interdependence, project scale effects, sustainability and other constraints. Other topics include discounting and the selection of a suitable discount rate, the measurement of benefits and costs, decision making and project evaluation models. The unit also includes a topic on the use of BCA in the evaluation of maintenance projects. This topic deals with deterioration algorithms, life cycle cost minimisation, optimal maintenance schedules and BCA of maintenance projects
Project Evaluation consists of seven topics
- Topic 1 - Project Evaluation in Context
- Topic 2 - Project Specification
- Topic 3 – Discounting
- Topic 4 - Benefits and Costs
- Topic 5 - Decision Making
- Topic 6 - Models and Processes
- Topic 7 - Pavement Lifecycle Costing & Maintenance Optimisation
