Purpose & Directions
The Centre for Pavement Engineering Education (CPEE) is a non profit incorporated association providing value added higher education programs and research assistance for the pavement industry.
Primary Objectives
To promote and expedite the inclusion of pavement studies in undergraduate civil engineering programs. To improve pavement studies opportunities for postgraduate students and industry personnel seeking continuing education. To support and facilitate industry-relevant pavement research at universities.
Aims
To influence curriculum change by introducing and expanding pavement studies in the syllabuses of university undergraduate civil engineering programs.
To offer distance learning and short courses to facilitate the transfer of information between academic institutions, road authorities, private companies, research organisations and others involved in the pavement industry that will lead to CPEE graduates possessing the high level practical knowledge and skills demanded by the pavement industry.
To encourage and expedite targeted, cost effective and coordinated university-based pavement research.
Academic Policy
The Academic Board is responsible for all matters associated with the delivery of distance education courses offered by CPEE, including the admission of candidates and the authorisation of awards.
Submissions to the Board are required to comply with guidelines on format and content.

Registration brochures for specific courses can be downloaded via the short course/workshop section of this site. CPEE's short courses are recognised by Engineers Australia for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.
*Note: University accredited distance education courses are GST-free.
