Recognition of Work Place Support for CPEE Students

One of the final units that students undertake in three of the CPEE higher education programs is a capstone unit involving a project relevant to their work. CPEE appreciates that the students in the Industry Research unit and the Work Based Project unit are helped in their study by a supervisor in the workplace. These supervisors keep in contact with the students through the semester and when the final report is submitted assist the CPEE Unit Chair by giving their analysis of the quality of the report. This is particularly helpful in the aspect of the specifics of the project itself as their on the spot expertise aids the Unit Chair.

In semester 1 this year CPEE gratefully acknowledges the help given by:

  • Craig Best, Asset Planning Coordinator, City of Swan, Perth WA
  • Robert Busuttil, Principal Surfacings Engineer, NZ Transport Agency
  • Sean Durkin, Managing Director, Durkin Construction, NSW
  • Ross Evans, Resurfacing & Rehabilitation Manager, Main Roads, Perth WA
  • Russell Grierson, Manager Infrastructure Engineering & Design, Glenorchy City Council, Tas
  • Ashley Milner, Engineering Manager, Newlands Civil Construction, Toowoomba, Qld
  • Tyrone Toole, Chief Adviser Asset Management, ARRB, Melbourne, Vic
