Master of Project Management
The overarching objective of the Master of Project Management Program (MPM) is to graduate students who will possess advanced knowledge and skills in leading and managing the planning, implementation, application, conduct, delivery and evaluation of complex infrastructure projects. The Master of Project Management Program Learning Outcomes, as listed below, contribute to the achievement of the CPEE Graduate Attributes.
- Possession of advanced knowledge and skills spanning the areas of the principles, planning, application, conduct, delivery and evaluation of contemporary project management. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 1, 3 and 7;
- Understanding of the economic, social and environmental benefits and consequences of the implementation and outcomes of efficient and effective project management. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 2, 5 and 7;
- Ability to integrate advanced knowledge, undertake analysis and design and lead project teams in order to identify, formulate and apply solutions to complex project management problems of professional importance. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 1, 2, 3 and 7;
- Ability to source and evaluate critical information using appropriate tools and apply outcomes to develop professionally sound arguments, judgements and apply solutions. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7;
- Identify, integrate and extrapolate relevant contemporary information, technology and research including the interpretation application of relevant national and international standards. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 2, 5, 6, and 7;
- Source, analyse and apply knowledge, information in new and emerging areas of project management and its related fields, and apply those outcomes innovatively to projects. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 2, 4, 6, and 7;
- Demonstrate the capacity to lead teams and to effectively communicate to diverse audiences through multiple media. This PLO contributes primarily to GA 4 and 7.
