Appointment of Professor Phil Evans Further Enhances CPEE Academic Board

Prof Phi EvansWe are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Phil Evans to the Centre for Pavement Engineering Education (CPEE) Academic Board, which further enhances the standing of the Board.

Professor Evans is Consultant and Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law at Notre Dame University, Western Australia.

Professor Evans is a former practicing civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience in local government and as a consultant in the areas of road and bridge design and construction, geotechnical and materials engineering and contract administration.

He also has a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) (MERIT) degree from the University of New South Wales, a Master of Engineering (Honours) degree from the University of Wollongong and NSW Local Government Engineers Certificate. He also holds an LLB from University of Western Australia and a PhD. He is a Fellow of both the Institution of Engineers (Aust) and the Australian Institute of Building and is also a member of Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia (IAMA) and the Society of Construction Law.

In past senior roles he was Associate Dean in the School of Law at Notre Dame and course coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Building and Construction Law.

With such an extensive and broad background Professor Evans will no doubt be a valuable contributor to the CPEE academic process.
